Bradley Beal drops career-high 51 points in win
The Washington Wizards have been dealing with ups and downs while waiting for John Wall to recover from a sore knee. Bradley Beal took it upon himself on Tuesday to carry his team to a much-needed victory, lifting them over the Portland Trail Blazers, 106-92. Beal exploded for a career-high 51 points to anchor his team’s offense in this game.
He shot an impressive 21-of-37 from the field and hit five 3-pointers as he ran rings around the Blazer defense. Damian Lillard led Portland with 30 points, eight rebounds, and nine assists but unfortunately, it was not enough to match the on-fire Beal.
The Blazers got bitten by the injury bug in this game as well. Jusuf Nurkic sprained his ankle and did not return to the game after shooting his free throws. The big man logged 29 minutes and finished with 15 points, nine boards, two assists, and three blocks.
