Boris Bakovic joins BC Beroe

Boris Bakovic (201 cm) is now playing in Bulagaria’s NBL for BC Beroe. Bakovic, who was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina also holds a Canadian passport. He has already played his first game for Beroe and tallied three points and one rebound. He began the 2012-13 season playing in France’s NM1 for Vendee Challans Basket. There he averaged 7.5 ppg and 4.6 rpg in 11 games, before leaving the team in December 2012.

He spent the 2011-12 season playing for the University of Calgary from Canada’s CIS. In 15 games there he averaged 17.9 ppg and 7.2 rpg. Bakovic was a member of the Canadian University National team in 2009 and in 2011.
