Billy Rush moves to Jena

Billy Rush (201 cm, Robert Morris’10) has been announced as the new signing by Science City Jena (Germany, ProA) and will join the club for the 2013/2014 season. The guard played in Germany during last season with ProA club Finke Baskets Paderborn where he featured in 14 games and averaged 11.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.2assists per game. The 25-year old American said the fact he could bring his wife and kid with him was a major factor in choosing Jena.

“I am very thankful for the club that I can bring my wife and child here. It would have been very difficult as a newly married man to be without them. I am been impressed with my new team,” Billy Rush said.

Rush was also welcomed by Jena head coach Bjoern Harmsen who said, “Billy is a player that any team would like to have. He leads and motivates his teammates. He is a great defender that is a team orientated offensive player”.
