Baskonia builds road winning streak in the EuroLeague following triumph over Anadolu Efes

Baskonia triumphed over Anadolu Efes in Istanbul (55-77) and extended its road winning streak in the EuroLeague to two games.

After a close contested battle in the first half (37-42), the Basques dominated their opponents and outscored them 18-35 to cruise to the victory.

Alec Peters led the winners with 18 points in the first game against his former team.

On the other hand, no player of Anadolu Efes scored in double figures in the game.

Both teams now have identical records in the EuroLeague (6-5).

Sarunas Jasikevicius returned to Kaunas for the first time as an opponent and saw Barcelona rally past Zalgiris (62-73).

The Catalans relied on their defense throughout the game, while a 2-13 run in the fourth quarter helped them seal the deal.

Brandon Davies, who also played for Zalgiris in the past, led Barcelona with 16 points off the bench.

Rokas Jokubaitis evened his EuroLeague career high of 15 points for the losing squad.

Barcelona improved to 9-3 in the EuroLeague standings, whereas Zalgiris dropped to 5-7.

Bayern Munich returned to the winning track in the EuroLeague, following their 80-77 victory over Khimki at home.

The Russians made a better start and took a double-digit lead, thanks to a 4-20 run.

Yet, the Bavarians turned things around and closed the first half in front (43-40), behind a 15-0 run of their own.

It was a hard-fought battle after that (64-64), with the hosts sealing the deal from the free-throw line.

Wade Baldwin IV paced the winning team with 19 points and five assists. For his part, Alexey Shved flirted with the triple-double for the losing squad (18 points, eight boards, nine assists).

Bayern put an end to a two-game losing streak in the EuroLeague and improved to 8-4. Meanwhile, Khimki dropped to 2-9.

In Madrid, Real used an impressive 33-14 run in the fourth quarter to edge ASVEL Villeurbanne (91-84).

The French led by 12 late in the third quarter (58-70), yet the “Whites” came back and earned their fifth straight home win in the EuroLeague.

Real improved to 7-5 in the EuroLeague standings, whereas ASVEL dropped to 3-7.
