Augusto Lima pens with Cedevita
Augusto Lima (207 cm) has agreed to terms on a deal to play for KK Cedevita Zagreb for the upcoming 2018-19 season. Lima is a 26-year-old Brazilian international player who played for the Brazilian National Team from 2011 to 2016. He is no stranger to European hoops though, having spent multiple seasons playing in Spain, Turkey, and Lithuania.
The big man began the 2017-18 season on the roster of Besiktas Sompo Japan Istanbul (Turkey-BSL). He played six games for them in the Basketball Champions League where he averaged 6.3 ppg and 4.8 rpg. He also logged 13 games in the Turkish League and there he notched averages of 7.4 ppg and 4.4 rpg.
Lima later moved to China where he played for the Xinjiang Flying Tigers (China-CBA). During his brief stay with the Chinese club, Lima averaged 14.0 ppg and 11.1 rpg in 15 games. In February 2018, Lima returned to Europe and signed with UCAM Murcia (Spain-Liga Endesa). He played 14 games there and registered averages of 6.4 ppg and 5.8 rpg.
