The Milwaukee Bucks (USA, NBA) have appointed Larry Drew as their new head coach after he agreed a three year contract with the franchise with an option for a fourth. The American is coming off a three year stay as the head coach of the Atlanta Hawks where he led the team to second place in the South East Division behind the Miami Heat with a record of 44-38 this season.

In the 2010/2011 season Larry Drew led the Atlanta Hawks to the Eastern Conference Semi Final and guided the franchise to the Play-Offs for three consecutive seasons. The 55-year old was chosen ahead of Houston Rockets assistant Kelvin Sampson and Los Angeles Lakers assistant Steve Clifford for the head coach at the Bucks.
