APBL announces league opener, new league logo

APBLThe American Professional Basketball League (APBL) has announced that their league opener will consist of a double header on October 27th. Below is a press release from APBL President, Brian Graham:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

“Greetings from New York City. The birth and growth of The American Professional Basketball League continues to forge forward with the announcement of its official league logo. The thought process behind the logo was to stress the beauty of America and communicate to the viewer and potential fan imagery of America. So what better way to communicate an American basketball league by draping an image of a basketball court in a American flag.

The APBL is proud to announce that on October 27th in New York City the APBL will host a league opener double header at Bishop Ford High School in Brooklyn, NY featuring Dominican Republic import and emerging point guard Roman Perez and his NYC Jaguars vs Brooklyn’s scoring machine Nate Young and The Manhattan Pride at 6pm and then the main event at 8pm with newly formed and Goodman League favorites The Rockville Victors out of Maryland challenging local products NYC 524 and reigning ACPBL summer league MVP Aaron Collins. The whole event looks to be shaping into a great night of eclectic basketball from the east coast region. For more information contact the league or teams involved.”
