Anton Shoutvin heads back to Maccabi Haifa
Anton Shoutvin (206 cm) signed with Maccabi Haifa (Israel-Winner League). Shoutvin played with Maccabi Haifa in the 2014/2015 and 2012/2013 seasons. He didn’t see much playing time in either of those stints but the team enjoyed his presence enough to bring him back to the roster. Maccabi Haifa only put Shoutvin on the floor for 6.0 mpg in his first season and even less in his next year with 4.5 mpg. Expect his role to remain the same this time around with his, once again, new team.
Shoutvin was a part of BK Iskra Svit (Slovakia-SBL) earlier this season where he appeared in 41 games. The big man played 26.4 mpg where he scored 15.6 ppg and grabbed 5.7 rpg in the SBL. His impressive season was one of the best in his career. Maccabi Haifa hopes Shoutvin can bring some of his magic to their team this season. They also bring him back to his home country of Israel. This is where he spent the majority of his career dating back to when he went pro in 2007/2008.
