Amaury Marion departs from Soba Antwerpen
Amaury Marion (199 cm) is leaving Soba Antwerpen (Belgium-Top Division 1). He leaves the team after playing in two consecutive seasons in the Belgian league. This season, he appeared in 22 games where he scored 13.8 ppg with 4.1 rpg. Currently, Soba sits in sixth place in the standings with a mediocre 12-12 record. His numbers are down compared to last season where he finished fourth in the league in scoring with 16.2 ppg. The league awarded Marion with All-Belgian Top Division I Honorable Mention last season.
Marion spent his entire career in his home country, Belgium. Prior to two seasons with Sopa, the forward suited up with Liege Basket (Belgium-Euromillions) in the 2014/2015 seasons. Liege didn’t see much in Marion as he only appeared in five games for a total of 15 minutes. The Euromillions league overmatched the young forward in that season. Now with a better track record in Belgium, he could make the leap back into the higher Belgian league.
