Alexander Vezenkov signs for Barcelona

Alexander Vezenkov (206 cm) has penned a deal to play with Spanish Liga Endesa giant Barcelona (Euroleague) for the coming 2015/2016 season. The young Bulgarian will add options to the Barca roster, but the 20-year old is definitely one for the future and is unlikely to feature extensively next season. The power forward has played for Aris Thessaloniki in the Greek A1 since 2011 and during this season he was one of the best players in the top flight.

Through 35 A1 games for Thessaloniki through 2014/2015, Alexander Vezenkov was in hot form and finished as the best scorer in the league with 17.0 points per game. He added to that impressive stat with 7.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists per contest.
