Alex Tyus reunites with Galatasaray

Alex Tyus (203 cm, C) has signed with Galatasaray from Turkey. He already played with that team during the 2016-17 season, and last season he defended the colors of Russian team Unics Kazan. There, he averaged 10.3 ppg and 6.1 rpg in the VTB league and similar numbers in the Eurocup. The 31-yeard old American spent most of his professional career in Israel and also played for teams from Turkey and Italy. Tyus got his education at the University of Florida, where he averaged 9.1 ppg and 6.2 rpg in his senior season.
