Alex Perez Kaufmann joins San Lorenzo
Alex Perez Kaufmann (191 cm) is moving to San Lorenzo de Almagra (Argentina-Liga A). This will be the third team in three different countries for the Mexican guard this season. Prior to this move, Kaufmann signed with Soles (Mexico-LNBP) where he suited up for 21 league games. His scoring numbers were impressive in the Mexican league as he scored 15.4 ppg while dishing 7.0 apg and grabbing 4.3 rpg. His strong season led to the LNBP naming him to the All-Mexican LNBP second team.
Before playing in Mexico, Kaufmann started his 2016/2017 campaign with Maccabi Hunter Haifa (Israel-Winner league). He appeared in only league games for the Israeli team but still found 29.1 mpg. His ability to pass and score was on display as he scored 10.7 ppg while finding 4.7 apg in the Winner league. Maccabi Haifa picked up Kaufmann in October 2016 and then parted ways in late-December.
Kaufmann will now join the Argentinian team to help them keep their spot on top of the Sur division. Currently, San Lorenzo holds a 31-15 record in the top division in Argentina.
