Alec Peters sets new standard
After his stint with the Suns, Alec Peters, a power forward, joined CSKA Moscow in 2018. He later suited up for the Turkish club Anadolu Efes before signing with Baskonia last July.
In the Spanish Liga Endesa squad’s latest victory, Peters surpassed his previous top offensive game. He had 21 points on Jan. 10 versus Unicaja Malaga, a game in which Baskonia won 91-79.
Peters is now averaging 10.5 points per game.
Key Real Betis players
Yakuba Ouattara paced Real Betis with 22 points. Youssou Ndoye, who scored 10 points, was the team’s only other double-digit scorer.
Real Betis slipped to 4-15 as Alec Peters’ stellar performance proved too much to overcome.
