Admiral Schofield first pick of 2021 NBA G League draft

The Greensboro Swarm selected Admiral Schofield (195 cm, Tennessee) with the first overall pick of the 2021 NBA G League Draft. In 2019-20, Schofield played 33 games with the Capital City Go-Go, where he averaged 16.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists. He also played in 33 games for the Washington Wizards.

Schofield is the first British-American player to be drafted with the first overall selection in the G League Draft. Other notable international selections include Jonathan Kasibabu of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (14th overall selection, Austin Spurs) and Brissett, who hails from Canada.

The 17 NBA G League teams playing in February at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Fla., participated in this year’s three-round Draft.
