7DAYS EuroCup: Valencia completes final series picture
The finalists of the 7DAYS EuroCup have been set. Valencia overcame Hapoel Jerusalem in the semi-finals decider and will now face off against fellow Spanish club Unicaja Malaga in the championship series. We at least know that the 2017 7DAYS EuroCup champ will be from Spain.
Malaga had already progressed by sweeping its series against Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar. After a good performance at home in game one, Valencia was brought back down to earth as game two headed to Jerusalem. However, back on familiar territory, the EuroCup’s winningest team secured its berth in the finals.

Valencia Basket vs. Hapoel Jerusalem, 90-75
The hosts just looked the better team from the tip off. Valencia took a 21-17 lead in the first quarter and then extended with a 23-15 second frame. As the teams headed into the locker room, the Spanish club led 44-32. The momentum stayed with Valencia after the long break, and the third act all but killed the game. The hosts claimed a 31-18 run to make it 75-50 through thirty minutes. The fourth quarter was all about holding strong and stopping any disaster. Valencia eased off, allowing Hapoel Jerusalem a 15-25 run that merely restored the score line to respectability.
Fernando San Emeteria led the win with 15 points, while Bojan Dubljevic dropped 14 points and Romain Sato and Luke Sikma 12 points apiece.
Curtis Jerrells took a game-high 19 points for Jerusalem, with Amare Stoudemire claiming 17 points.
