2021 FIBA Eurobasket Qualifiers Draw
The draw for the 2021 FIBA Eurobasket Qualifiers took place on Monday at Munich, Germany. The ceremony was presided over by FIBA Executive Director Europe Kamil Novak.
The balls were drawn by Georgian Basketball Federation Vice-Presiden Vladimir Boisa and Czech National Team member Vojtech Hruban.
The 2021 FIBA Eurobasket Qualifiers will be played across three windows. The first window is on February 17-25, 2020. The second will be on November 23-December 1, 2020. The third window will be held on February 15-23, 2021. Two games will be played by each team during each window.
The four host countries for the final round of the qualifiers were announced – Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, and Italy.
32 teams will be participating the 2021 FIBA Eurobasket Qualifiers and they were drawn into eight groups of four teams each. The top-3 teams from each group will qualify for the FIBA Eurobasket tournament. There is an exception and that’s for the groups that have one of the four hosts. There, only the top-2 teams will move to join the hosts, who are by default automatically qualified.
